The geography and geographical location of Brahmanpara Upzila has played a role in shaping the language and culture of the people of this upzila. Located in the south-eastern part of Bangladesh, this upzila is surrounded by the Indian state of Tripura and other upzilas of Chittagong division. The main features of the language are the same as in other upzilas of Bangladesh, but there is some variation. For example, in spoken language, mahapranadhvani is largely absent, i.e. there is a tendency to simplify the language. The languages of the Dhaka region, adjacent to the regional languages of Kasba upzila of Brahmanpara, Burichang, Debidwar, Muradnagar and Brahmanbaria districts, are very similar to the regional languages of Chauddagram and Laksam Upzila. Experts believe that the nature of the Meghna-Gomti river and the behavior, eating habits, language and culture of the people of Brahmanpara at the foot of Lalmai hills have greatly influenced it.
A review of the history of this area shows that the civilization of Brahmanpara is very ancient. Archaeological finds in the area and the ruins of Buddhist monasteries shine as carriers of ancient civilization. The contribution of Brahmanpara in the cultural sphere is undeniable.
The government cultural organizations working in Brahmanpara are:
* Upzila Shilpakala Academy, Brahmanpara
